room breathing intimacy
&
tension of springs
into it (her) travels it (remnants of him)
a swimming future
of
bountiful built boy
or
genial grinning girl
mortal moves of lips & bodies
making their (her & him) name
soon born again
planting another mortal womb
in this immortal world
entwined & naked
now undressed is another flower.
no longer lifeless
after their
graves blossom.

and what is that supposed to mean?
As he expresses himself in laughter he takes a sip from his jack and coke, which is in a small detailed white and pink plastic cup that is dressed in cracks from the dishwasher.

I liked this peice myself... I dunno why, maybe it was just the use of "&" on lines by itself, or, i dunno, but it is definately different from what you last wrote around here, and I like it a lot.
I would imagine I can see what this is about, but i'm curious as well as to what the motivation of this one was...
pink cups.. you fucking beaver!

okay...
first response in a long time so bare with me.
the beginning w/
"room breathing intimacy
&
tension of springs"
gets to point but is nothing marvelous. its kinda' partial haiku w/o the finish of something we Don't know. in the 2nd and 3rd stanza there was a cohesion and the last jumped to the final and expected ending picture, not that this is a bad thing, but beginning describing sex and then questioning girl/boy status leaves a reader to expect birth and therefore the description is given. nothing more nothing less.
the use of parenthesis is nice and made me want to read it twice, w/ or w/o the parenthesis. this is a good thing. I see the use of 'mortal' and 'immortal' concepts in the 3rd stanza which I find quite irregular for you mr. machine. i guess I do enjoy the poem but I think a tighter beginning would improve it. maybe try writing an actual haiku at beginning and at end. w/ two images in each and a transition... the problem w/ 1st stanza was that it seemed to need movement. otherwise, doing well.
good good.
keep posting and if you bug me I might check em.
as we all know, I've been absent, but some of you know how to reach me. maybe if you nag me I'll get my own lazy ass to write some more, I've been lax lately.
anywhoot -
enjoyed the visit.
later
